Factory Reset Error, no user

I corrently having problrms with my Dell XPS 420 Desktop and decided to a factory reset, I followed the dell website instructions to press F8 and go to repair your computer but when you select a user all i have is 1 box stating Other User and if I type the account details of the only user I get a an error stating domain either does not exist or cannot connect, even though the user fully works to load it up the normall way.

Is there a way I can get my user accessable from theis screen so I can access it, or another way to do a factory reset with out an CD.

Hi Matt101,

The user has to be an administrator. You have to enter the administrator username and password in box that pops up to use the factory reset feature. You will have to perform Windows reinstallation from the CD if the “Administrator” account is not present.

I only have 1 user on my PC and it is an administrator account without a password, I have tried inserting the details but all I get is an error message stating "The specified domain either does not exist or could not be contacted". As for the CD because I had the PC for 4 years I cannot be sure if its because ive lost it or never got one but I do not seem to have one available.
