Factory Restore (NO OPTION AVAILABLE)

Hello, Lately I have tried to system restore my computer by pressing F8 multiple times at the dell startup screen. Once I am there I click on repair my computer and there is no option for factory settings I have looked for almost an entire day and have found nothing in the dell community nor in my manual. Dell Datasafe and local manager just directs me back to the repair my computer screen I have a recovery drive but can't access anything inside it. I have also tried the Command Prompt in repair my computer but I don't seem to get anywhere with it. The Dell Inspiron 15r N5110 laptop was not shipped with and recovery disks. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Connor.

I already have dell data safe installed on my computer and it still does not give me a option to reset my laptop as I said in my problem at the top

Hi Darkedger,

I‘d suggest that you download the ‘Dell data safe local backup ’from the link given below and install it on your computer. Recovery Discs are not shipped with the system as Dell Datasafe utility present in the system.

After the ‘Dell data safe local backup’ gets installed on your system. Please refer to link below to create recovery disks for your system.

After the recovery disks are created Please try performing the PC restore using the steps mentioned below.

  1. Turn on the computer, after the Dell Logo appears and then disappears repeatedly press the key until you see the Advanced Boot Options menu.
  2. From the Advanced Boot Options highlight Repair Your Computer with the arrow keys and press .
  3. Click Next and login to your administrator account on the computer. The administrator account is the account created the first time the computer was turned on.
  4. Click ‘Dell Factory Image Recovery and Data Safe options’ and follow the prompts provided.

If the ‘Pc restore’ does not work use the recovery disks to go back to previous state.

Please let me know if this helps.

Hi Darkedger,

The Dell Datasafe seems to be corrupted on your system. You will have to manually reinstall the operating system using the Operating system disc. If you do not have the disc Please send me a private message with the computer's service tag, Name registered during the system purchase and email address so that I can check what can be done. To send a private message, click on my name and select start conversation.
