atlwizard,

By bus port, do you mean USB? Is the DSL modem also USB?

Go to Device Manager, and see if any entry(s) have an yellow-question-mark or red-x by them. Post back the results.

Gotta love the lack of details don't you.

Hard to help if you don't give details.

Did the technician install a Network card in your computer?

Does your digital camera require software installed on your computer?

Is it a USB port?

Do you have another device that works on the same kind of port. Does it still work?

Have you tried plugging your camera into a port on the back of the computer? Does it work?

Have you uninstalled and reinstalled any software or hardware that is now not working?

atlwizard,

What does the "Properties" show for that device? Which driver is being used?

1) No network card, bellsouth tech came in changed the phone jack on the wall then made a call and got on the computer to set up the DSL
2) Camera came with a cd but , said I didn't need it if I was using windows xp, which I am. Camera was downloading fine two days before I got DSL
3) Yes USB port.
4) No camera is the only thing I have to plug into the computer.
5) I will try pluging it into the back of computer.
6) The only other thing I have noticed is that I no longer have windows media player. What soft ware do I ( need? , have? , use? ) to uninstall and reinstall ?

atlwizard,

Ok, that's cool. I was wondering if, when you installed the dsl modem, if the one USB drivers had been overwritten.

Let me know how it turns out.

Mike.
