I use Office 97 (hey, it does what I need it to....), so this info. may be off a bit, but gove it a try...
Open a new Excel file. In Excel, go to File>Open. That should open a dialogue box for you to search for the file to open. Near the bottom, there should be a choice that says "Files of Type." Use the drop down menu to look for WKS files. Choose that. Then, in the top section, point the program to your Works file. Open it, and when you're done, save it as an XLS file....
Hope this helps or at least gets you in the right direction....

Do you still have Works? If so, open it i Works and try these steps...
Open the file in Microsoft Works.
Click Save As on the File menu.
From the Save File As Type list, select the following file format:
Click OK to save the file in the new format.
Close the file before you open it in Microsoft Excel.

Hi hrova: That last bit of info worked great. Had some problem with the formatting but got it to work. Could have made a new xcell file on the new computer, but I knew there was a way. Thanks again. Have a GREAT DAY!!
