File Manager, Alternative to Microsoft

Question

Hi everyone,   Any suggestions for an alternative (either freeware or for a nominal fee) to MIcrosoft Explorer. I just can't get used to the look and feel of Explorer - perhaps there are ways to customize it, but I have not figured that out yet.    There was a file manager that I used many years ago called 'XTreeGold', which goes down as one of my all time favorites. Any recommendations on file managers, tweaks or other options would be most appreciated.  Thanks.  Jonathan
