file modification date

Hey,

I got this new Dell computer a few weeks ago.  I take files off the old computer, and put them, unmodified, into the new one.  The computer lists them as modified on the day I put them on the new computer. Now I have thousands of files dated 7/22/07, which is causing all kinds of problems for me.  I think this may also be causing problems when I’m uploading my webpages, although that is a guess.

Can anyone tell me how to fix this?
