Make sure your virus definitions are up to date and run a complete antivirus scan on your computer.  Then, download, install, update, and run the free versions of Ad-Aware and Spybot and let these programs remove all of the garbage that they find.

If these programs don't solve the problem, go Here and follow the directions to download and run the analysis tool called HijackThis. Generate a log file, then open it and copy and paste the text of the log file in a message in the HijackThis forum where a HijackThis expert can offer advice on how to fix the problem.

Hi , in short no i didn't create any folder but i did install windows defender the day before last time the computer was on. When i used the computer without renaming the file like it sugested it did actually make a few things go funny such as the norton icon down in the tray was gone and so was the touch pad icon also the actual touchpad scroll bars didn't work on any pages i had open, so restarted and the message was still there and i accepted it to rename the file for me rebooted and everything now seems as normal (and i aint got a clue why). Since then i ran norton full system scan/ adware full scan/also ran ccleaner just in case and found only minor things or non critical stuff so it says,, many thanks all..
