File not found

I am using Windows XP.  When I open Word I get the following message:  Visual Basic   File not found DVZAddin.dl. What should I do?

Blackbelt147,

Searching Google for DVZaddin.dll led to this post. Hopefully it will resolve the problem for you.

Word is looking for a template file called DVZWAddin.dot. Every time Word starts or stops it checks the template, finds a reference to the missing DVZAddin.dll file and spits back the error message. Just delete the template and the error is gone.

To locate the Word template, you can select Tools -> Option in MS Word and then check the "File Locations" for "User templates" and "Workgroup templates".

Or you can use the Find function in Windows Explorer to search for the file in your hard disk -- which is where having the indexing on comes in handy -- however the template files are normally found the:

C:\Documents and Settings -> (username) -> Application Data -> Microsoft -> Templates folder
