File Settings and Transfer Wizard Error! HELP!!

Ok, I have been trying to use the FSTW to tranfer files from my old Inspiron 1100 (running windows XP) to my new XPS m140 (running Windows MCE). I have connected the 2 compunters via a home network and get far enough in the process where the wizard on the old computer is completed. The wizard on the new computer get's approx 75% towards completion when I get the same 2 error messages every single time. Migwiz.exe has experienced a problem and needs to shutdown (I'm assuming this is the executable for FSTW) 2ndly, Dr. Watson Postmortem Debugger has experienced a problem and needs to shutdown. I'm no expert at computers and really have no clue on what to do here. I need to find a way to get my settings and files over to the new computer (especially my email folders from Microsoft Outlook and databases for a couple other programs I use daily as well...Any help, suggestions for doing this would be extremely helpful since I have never swapped files from one system to the next before. If the FSTW is too much of a pain to fix, could someone walk me through where to copy the correct files from the backup of my HD that I have on an external HD running Retrospect??
