Files Corrupt and Unreadable Error
I uninstalled PC-cillin, which came with the inspiron 1720. After I rebooted and now each time at start up I receive one or more of these errors:
DD Client.exe\windows\assembly\nativeimages_v2.0.50727_32 is corrupt and unreadable. Run chkdsk utility.
or its Eula.exe or dsca.exe and the rest of the string.
Not sure if its related to the uninstall of the PC-cillin or not, so I posted here instead of the Virus/Spyware board.
When I try to run chkdsk it will only run in read-only mode {chkdsk\f won't run at start-up}
c:\>chkdsk
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Volume label is OS.
WARNING! F parameter not specified.
Running CHKDSK in read-only mode.
CHKDSK is verifying files (stage 1 of 3)...

Errors found. CHKDSK cannot continue in read-only mode.

Everything seems to be functioning correctly after I start.
Ideas?

OK - try this:
Start and type "cmd" (without the quotes) in the start search box. When "cmd.exe" appears in the programs list, right click on cmd.exe and select "Run as administrator". When the command window pops up, type in (again without the quotes) - chkdsk c: /f . When you are prompted to run chkdsk the next time the system restarts, type Y. Then, either type "exit" or close the command window. Reboot.

Yeah, it was a typo. Here is what I get:
c:\>chkdsk /f
The type of the file system is NTFS.
Cannot lock current drive.
Chkdsk cannot run because the volume is in use by another
process. Would you like to schedule this volume to be
checked the next time the system restarts? (Y/N) n
c:\>
I said Y but it didn't appear to run when I rebooted.

Still doesn't appear to run chkdsk. Also, correction to the error. It is a pop-up window. At the top of the window is one of the .exe files. The error detail says:
C:\windows\assembly\nativeimages_v2.0.50727_32 is corrupt and unreadable. Run chkdsk utility
