I wouldn't say it was Firefox's fault. It is just a lot of websites are coded for IE, and not cross-browser compatible. My personal webpage looks the same in IE and Firefox. It takes special coding for some things to work in netscape/firefox/mozilla, and IE.
Also, IE is more forgiving if a webpage is poorly coded than Firefox is.
This is probably the wrong forum section for your question since Firefox is not a Windows XP issue (it's an application issue).
But, I had firefox installed for about a week (until I just did a clean install and haven't put it back on yet) and I noticed that some web sites have features (code) that firefox cannot handle. I used firefox to check my own web site and found some "buttons" on my web site, which was generated using Microsoft FrontPage that did not display the text on the button, but Internet Explorer did support that web site function (I have since changed the buttons so they are also compatible with firefox).
The incompatibility issue with some web sites/functions may be your issue. Apparently firefox does not support all the FrontPage "extensions".
I was not implying that Firefox was to blame, but was just asking if anyone had seen the problems before.
I`m actually wondering if the widescreen is the cause and was hoping that someone with both Firefox and a widescreen would reply. Having tried different resolutions and dpi settings without success I am now thinking I will just uninstall it.
I agree with msil217, its not Firefox's fault. I use Firefox and have noticed that some sites that are designed to be viewed in IE do not appear the same in Firefox. Just a little back up on what msil said.
In case the widescreen issue is new, you might want to post in the
Mozilla Firefox Support board at Mozillazine, and see if someone recognizes the problem.

My 2 cents.
