Firewall Question
I did a clean install on the following PC: Windows XP Home Edition Service Pack 2 (build 2600) Dell Computer Corporation Dimension 3000 2.67 gigahertz Intel Celeron 16 kilobyte primary memory cache 256 kilobyte secondary memory cache Board: Dell Computer Corp. 0K8980 Serial Number: ..CN70821519A1J8 Bus Clock: 533 megahertz BIOS: Dell Computer Corporation A03 01/05/2006 76.03 Gigabytes Usable Hard Drive Capacity 72.52 Gigabytes Hard Drive Free Space ST380011A [Hard drive] (80.00 GB) -- drive 0, s/n 5JVKPJZE, rev 8.16, SMART Status: Healthy 510 Megabytes Installed Memory Slot 'DIMM_1' has 256 MB Slot 'DIMM_2' has 256 MB I think the owners were running AOL Security on it previously, but I am personally not a fan of anything AOL. I want to run Trend Micro's Security Suite. I have one subscription left and this is for my in-law's PC so it would be no big deal to give them my last subscription. What I need to know is if this old computer can handle running Trend Micro without it bogging down? If TM is too much of a resource hog what are some alternative suggestions? Thanks!

128-, 256-, 512-, or 1-GB nonECC
so you have a max of 2gb you can install.

The specs for TM 2007 are as follows for XP users:
Intel Pentium 350MHz (or equivalent processor)
Memory - 128MB (256MB recommended)
Disk Space - 250MB available for installation
I've heard good things about AVG and will probably switch to that or Comodo if TM doesn't work out on this machine. I am testing TM 2007 on the PC and so far I haven't had any major issues. It does load slow, but that's normal. It does the same on my PC and I run:
P4 Prescott 3.4 CPU
1GB Corsair Xtreme RAM
250GB HD
Thanks for the link to the Dimension 3000 RAM specs! I was looking all over for that yesterday without any luck.
