firewall
I downloaded Norton 2005, decided I didn't want it, attempted to remove it and now have two problems; I cannot turn on my Window's firewall and I cannot seem to entirely remove Norton. I have removed them thru the add/remove programs menu but it still comes up on the screen when the computer starts. Help! Do I have to do a reformat of my hard drive?

You can probably do a system restore to a day before you installed the Norton firewall. Also, if an application comes with it's own uninstall routine, you should use that instead of the Windows Add/Remove Programs. Symantec products usually have their own uninstall routine.
