Fixes for PCMService.exe??
I have a relatively new Inspiron 1420 running Vista Home Premium. I've recently begun getting a message on bootup that Cyber Power Cinema (name may not be exact? I didn't write the message down) has abended. My event log shows this error:
Faulting application PCMService.exe, version 4.5.0.0, time stamp 0x46232d5e, faulting module ntdll.dll, version 6.0.6000.16386, time stamp 0x4549bdc9, exception code 0xc0000374, fault offset 0x000af1c9, process id 0xa0c, application start time 0x01c831126f1392b5.
Having done a search of this forum, I've now turned PCMService.exe off in MSCONFIG (thanks!), and it's clear that I should be grateful that it's merely blowing up and not eating all my memory. My question is: is there a fix for this? I'm not sure if this is a Windows program or a Dell program - I think it's a Dell program. I'm not using it presently but sometime I might, and right now it's non-functional. How do I get a fix?
