I don't know, this is a problem, I couldn't find anything about recovering a Administrator password only a user.  I do have a suggestion on how to not forget your password next time. The way not to forget your password is to think of a phrase, that has some meaning in your life. Take the first letter of each word in the phrase, that's your password, add some number to the end if you like. I know that's not going to do you any good for the moment.

Ok, but he still can not return to is old account unless he remembers that password, thus prehaps losing files, etc?

Rest your computer and just before the boot screen press f8, then choose safe mode.  Once you're at the login screen choose Administrator, it doesn't require a password.

Then what you'll need to do is type in User Accounts under the start search box.

In the User Accounts Window click "Manage another account".   Click continue.  Then click "Create a New Account" near the bottom of the window.

Once you have created your account, at the main "User Accounts" window, you can create a password reset disk for this new account.

Now reset the computer and login to your new account.

Once he has "Administrative account access " he can change any and all passwords on all accounts.

I tried this & repeatedly pressing F8 did get me to the Safe Mode but I'm not getting any option to select Administrator or to select User Accounts.
