Genuine Windows Advantage test failed!

Question

After downloading the MS update yesterday, my Dimension 4300 suddenly fails the Genuine test! I'm still running the same version of XP that came with the computer originally, and haven't made significant hardware changes in a long time.   Today's MS update turned that off, but I'm concerned that sooner or later they'll turn it back on.   How do I get MS to recognize that my XP really is legit?     Steve

Download and run the diagnostic tool to check if the Product Key used by your current Windows XP installation is valid: http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=485803&SiteID=25   If this differs from the Product Key printed on the Certificate of Authentication (CoA) label on your computer, try changing it: http://forums.microsoft.com/Genuine/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=420092&SiteID=25

Thanks!!   The diagnostic tool said my system is genuine. I can't get to the COA without turning my system off and disconnecting some cables, to get it out of the desk area. I'm heitant to change anything anyway, since this says it's valid.   What do you suggest?   Steve

Esquire or anyone else... do you have any suggestions for what I do the next time Microsoft starts using WGA, and my system fails again? One piece of MS software says I'm legit, another says I'm not. Sooner or later that has to cause more problems!
