Get a C0000221 Hard Error- ntdll.dll error during system reinstallation

I'm trying to clean reinstall of my Windows XP software.  I''m doing this because the computer contracted the AntiSpyware Master malware.

While I could start the PC Restore software, after clicking the restore button I got a black screen and the install stopped.

I ordered a new set of system restore disks from Dell.  When I use them starting the computer from the CD drive, I get ERROR: C0000221 hard unknown error blamed on the ntdll.dll.  This error message occurs after all the software is installed and the system says it is starting Windows XP.  The install will go no further.

Any assistance will be appreciated.

Unfortunately, this error is occuring during a clean reinstallation from Dell provided disks.  This procedure from Microsoft recommends doing just that!

I am only trying to make suggestions since you weren't getting any replies.  I basically a newbie also.

A couple of years ago, my hard drive crashed and I purchased a new one.  I had the installation disk but when I tried a new installation, I got an error message that a file was missing.  Fortunately, I had another computer that was running Windows 98 that I was able to get that file from -copied to floppy and finally installation completed.  Do you have another computer you can get the dtdll.dll file from?
