Download installer. Extract contents out to a folder. Download i6comp (use Google). Use i6comp to extract all files out of data1.cab. Manually install everything (the hotfixes probably won't install)
Can you be more precise when you say to manually install everything ? I am installing the notebook system software R70917.EXE on my i8600. I have extracted the files from the cab files but I am hesitant to just run all the applications which include:
Q293385_W2k_SP3_x86_* (where * is a language abbreviation, eg. enu, fra), SETUP, USBF-r, and
Windows2000-KB829759-x86-* (where * is a capitalized language abbreviation).
I have already installed Windows2000 Pro SP4 and provided drivers for all currently detected hardware (I do not own the modular floppy drive - yet!) but was thinking of buying the floppy drive.
