Help I Cant turn on computer! System Error

When I turned on my computer it said something like this in a big blue screen..

"STOP: Fatal System Error
The windows Logon Process System process has been terminated unexpecedly with a status of 0xc00000005 (0x00000000 0x0000000). The system has been shut down."

I couldnt move on to my logon screen. I turned it off and back on pressing F5, I went to Debugging mode.

It did something and started. I logged on my name and got an imediate error report message thing. I clicked send report, it goes away and pops right back up. This message says...

"Windows Logon UI encountered a problem and needed to close.
This error occurred on 2/18/2007 at 1:52:40 PM.
Please tell Microsoft about this problem...
(blah blah etc.)"

What I did notice, every time I sent the error report, the next message gave a different time. So I sent all the errors, now the error boxes are gone but im sure the problems still there.

I'm afraid to restart my computer. Thanks for any help possible.

I was searching google about the error and I found someone saying to do this...

"Open Windows Explorer and navigate to C:WindowsSystem32 folder. Locate the file msgina.dll and move it to d: or some other location. [A new copy of this file will be extracted automatically by XP]

See if the problem persists. If yes, open Command Prompt window and type in:

"SFC /PURGECACHE"

Then, "SFC /Scanow""

I'm going to try it right now, and i'll post my results.

Problem was not solved.

After restart, got about 5 different timed error reports. At the end Spybot S&D came up saying "Value Deleted.. Entry:UserFaultCheck" I clicked allow changed.

I give up, I don't know what to do!
(sorry for triple post, it looked too confusing in 1 post)

JShapp03,

Bugcheck 0xc0000005 indicates an access violation.  See this Microsoft link for suggested fix:  http://support.microsoft.com/kb/873155 .

None of the symptoms and information on that page really apply to me except the number (0xc00000005). I don't use Norton, and I dont think I got an Explorer.exe error.

Should I attempt to do their "workaround" solution anyways?

JShapp03,
No.  Don't use those workarounds if they don't seem to fit your situation.
Stop codes; be they bugcheck or parameter codes, can be a booger to isolate to a specific cause.  Perhaps the troubleshooting recommendations on this site will be of assistance: http://kadaitcha.cx/stop_err.html

If you can boot into Safe Mode without problem, you can click on Start|Run.  Type msconfig. Press Enter.  On the General page, put a tick in the box beside Diagnostic startup.  Apply and restart normally.  Does the error occur?  If yes, let us know.

Wow, now I have no idea whats going on.

My McAfee was out of date so I uninstalled it and got the new one. It made me restart afterwards, I was expecting the big blue screen again saying system error. I didn't get the blue screen or the error reports when I logged on.

I didn't change any settings or do anything, I just installed McAfee. The problems probably still there but I can't get it to happen again.

JShapp03,

Maybe that was the problem.  Let's hope so.  Just enjoy until it hiccups again.
