HELP ME!! UNINSTALL NORTON
Hello- I tried uninstalling my Norton and was able to uninstall most of it...however there is one last program that I am not able to uninstall. I need to uninstall this to have it complete out of my system and need help ASAP! All it does when I click on "remove" in the "Add/Remove programs" link is flash for a second but it doesn't do anything after that. I have looked everywhere in the system to see if I can find another place to uninstall it but couldn't find it. I am not overly knowledgable with computers so I am sure that someone can tell me a way to do it that I don't know about.
Thanks for your help :smileyhappy:

Try this removal tool, its the one I ended up using to get rid
Nortons 2005.
http://service1.symantec.com/SUPPORT/tsgeninfo.nsf/docid/2005033108162039?Open&src=&docid=2004093015165236&nsf=tsgeninfo.nsf&view=docid&dtype=&prod=&ver=&osv=&osv_lvl
Which -IMHO- is buggy bloatware.
I now use Zonealarm's security for my firewall & antivirus, & it runs great, & it's
not even close to being the resource hog that Nortons is. My 8400 boots faster &
shuts down even faster.
Along with no conflicts with my Word & Word Perfect programs.

fI had NIS 2005 installed on my PC and could not get it completely removed and wound up doing a "clean" install to get rid of it (I was going to do the clean install anyway so it wasn't a big hassle). I had many problems with NIS2005 and dumped it in favor of the free (free for RoadRunner subscribers) C.A. EZ Armor security suite.
The Norton support site and their removal tools didn't help and in fact the removal tool caused OS problems and even a Windows XP "Repair" did not fix. The clean install was the ONLY way.

Will this work for me? It says it's to remove Norton 2001, I don't know if that makes a difference or not.
Thanks for you response.
