HELP - OPTIPLEXGX260 - XP MIGRATION

Sorry, I have a big problem   I am doing a  S.O. migration from Windows NT4 Client SP6 to Windowx XP Professional;   Well, the first step of upgrading is going well but when i reboot my PC the next step of installation don' t start; I see the cursor on the left side that blinking and no other   Someone can help me; I' m italian   Thank you

I'll admit to not getting my XP by upgrading. The regular XP installation CD is designed for you to boot directly from it (after setting your bios to do so). Installation of XP is pretty automatic from there.

also in this way the result is the same; perhaps I have to set something in the Bios settings ?

You need to set your bios to boot from your CD device BEFORE your hard drive.
