Help with Installshield!

Question

I cant get install shield wizard to run when trying to remove Battlefield 2. I tried it on other programs and it starts to run, then I press cancel.When I try it on the BF2 title it activates then a blueish greenish screen flashes really fast then it stops running.Please help,I am at my wits end with this!!!!! Whatever that means.

Reinstall Battlefield then try uninstalling it.  Many times, if you can't uninstall a program (through the regular Windows uninstall software feature) it's because a needed uninstall file is missing or corrupted.  By reinstalling over top of the existing program's install, the missing or corrrupted file(s) is restored and then you can do the 'orderly' uninstall.

It does the same thing as trying to uninstall it.Thanks for the reply.I also tried a system restore with no luck.

Have you checked the game vendor's web site for any thing on removing it? Or do a google web search as it may be something that everyone has problems with. The forum gaming section may be helpful too.

You can manually remove the program by deleting the folder with the game, but you will have to manually edit the registry to remove any reference to the game. Be careful with the registry, back it up before you do anything.
