Help with Outlook Password

Question

Outlook recently started prompting me for my password every time I use it, and will not remember the password.  I followed Microsoft's instructions and deleted the registry key, then reset Outlook.  I spent 2 hours on the phone to India with Microsoft, and still could not resolve it.  Does anyone have any ideas?

If you tried resetting the account, then you might try this registry edit from kelly's-korner. Scroll down to line 54 on the right: Save Settings on Exit. Instructions to download and run regedits at top of web page.

I wanted to say thanks for taking the time to reply to my inquiry.  I am leary of the procedure though - it apppears that the web site downloads something that then alters my registry.  I am by no means a computer genius, and I need aome margin of safety before I go messing around with an unknown source.  If you or anyone else can tell me more about this kelly-korner site, and what to expect if i click on the link at line 54, I would really appreciate it.  Thanks again.

The fixes at Kelly's Korner are very reliable and often recommended on these forums.  Either try the fix or continue to have your problem. Steve
