help with xp

Question

i had some viruses on my computer and i think i have got rid of them for now but now some files and things will not work right. like now in internet explorer will not keep the privacy settings and windows restore will not work either. i have tried to reinstall with the operating system reinstallation cd but it will not work keeps saying that it is an old version and will not install. please if anyone knows what to do please email me at pennyking123@netzero.net. would rather be contacted by email if possible. but will check back on forum page here. thanks for all your help.

I think the best thing for you to do would be to create a slipstreamed XP SP2 CD. This means that you integrate SP2 into your present XP installation CD.

Here is a tutorial on how to do it using Autostreamer. Just follow the instructions, it is not difficult.

ok i have my disk ready but i have a problem the only program that i have is dvdsanta could i use that to burn the disk the website called for nero but i don't have that.
