Help

I am trying to reinstall sonic mydvd because when I try and open it the message comes up I can not find the skins file.

The first problem is I can not unistall it.  It keeps saying maintenance complete and the program is still there.

The second problem is when I put the disc in to try and reload it

I keep getting a message that says

16 bit windows subsystem C:\windows\system32\autoexec.nt

The system file is not suitable for running MS-DOS and microsoft windows applications

choose close to terminate application

I give up please help

thanks

Download and install XP FIX.EXE. It will fix missing or corrupt Windows XP system files command.com, autoexec.nt and config.nt.

Thanks!!!  I was able to reinstall myDVD.  But I am still having the problem that says can not read the skins file.  I found some info below but when I try and upadte the .DLL files it says windows cannot find the files make sure you typed it in correctly and try again.  I tried all of them and got the same message for everyone. Any ideas on what to do next.  Getting closer to fixing the problem with your help.  Thanks again.

Sometimes after updates to the Windows OS, certain DLL's are not recognized.

There are few things that will help alleviate this issue if it occurs:
  • Make sure that you have the latest versions of Windows Media Player, DirectX, and Internet Explorer as RecordNow references these applications to run.
  • After these updates have been confirmed, you may need to reregister some of your XML .dll files which are listed below.
    MSXML3.DLL
    MSDXMLC.DLL
    MSXML.DLL
    MSXML2.DLL
    MSXML2R.DLL
    MSXML3R.DLL
    MSXMLR.DLL
Re-register them one at a time as follows ("MSXML3.DLL" is used as a first example):
Start-->Run. Type "regsvr32 MSXML3.DLL" (Be sure to include a space between "regsvr32" and the .dll file name.)
Then try to start up RecordNow to see if it will run. If it does not, then move on to the next .DLL
