hi safe mode is not opening up

Hello,
 
        My system got affected by "winfixer 2005 popup."I am trying to open my system in safe mode to delete some files.But it doesn't open up.It opens up the windows and asks to select user name,after that i am getting message "Desktop:you are opening in safe mode.........Yes/ NO.I can see this message only for 1 sec and i could gather only these lines.After it asks nothing comes up for 2 hrs.Then i put it off.I tried atleast 5 times.But the same message comes up all the time!!!any help....would be greatful!!!...thanks...

You need to post on the Software - Windows XP forum (assuming you have Windows XP), available in the drop down menu on the right.
