Thank-you for your response. I have tried what was suggested in the post: re-installing 1.2.18 BIOS and toggling bios settings as per this post: linustechtips.com/.../.
Thanks for the update, go ahead and try to reinstall the video drivers by entering your Service Tag here and see if it fixes the issue, if it does not can you try this command in a command prompt (you might have to run it as an admin): powercfg -lastwake and let me know if it says anything.

Tried what you suggested didn't work. The result from that prompt is: "Wake History Count - 0"
