well, there is no other go other than to reinstall the OS from scratch.
If you had bought the system from dell, ask for the OSCDs/ with ur OS CD u must reinstall ur OS.
DELL system restore is stored in a hidden partition..

Hope ive answered ur question!..

makaveli1 Check out this post it seems to indicate that you are only losing around 50MB from this partion. http://forums.us.dell.com/supportforums/board/message?board.id=sw_winxp&message.id=144616&query.id=770989#M144616. You can go into disk managment to see the actual size on your computer.Control panel>admin tools>computer management>disk managment.

Ok so the partistion is taking up 3.14gb which brings the total of the harddrive to 110gb. But its a 120gb hard drive wheres that 10gb? I am confused

makaveli1The reason for the confusion is because your 120 gb hard drive is actually closer to 111gb. Your computer sees the space differently than the manufacturer.See this link. http://www.janisian.com/forum/archive/index.php/t-1163.html

Oh right that explains that.  What do u think about the 3gb taken by the partition.  Should I reinstall a new copy of windows?

I am assuming the fat32 partition is pc restore.About 2.5 gigs of it are utilized. Why you would want to get rid of it is a mystery to me.If your machine is working properly why reinstall windows? If you really need more HD space you can get a external hard drive, but as it is now you have a lot of free space on the one you have.

Navigate to C:\dell\Utilities\DSR folder
And run the DSRIRRemv2 file, which looks like building blocks with MFC pic.
Follow the On-screen instructions...
This removed the DELL PC RESTORE partition safely and adds up the space to your existing C partition.
