How did SurfControl get on my computer?
Just appeared - trying to get to a very vanilla site (http://www.theagitator.com/) and I get the Access Denied popup. I certainly never put this on my computer.
I haven't accessed this blog in a few months, but I can get to it from my work computer with no problems - where on earth did it come from?

Surf control is a software working in the internet access link.
Suftcontrol basically filters out internet pages by the page rank (nudity, offensive languaje, etc.) or any specific named pages like e-bay or any other you may want to filter out.
If you are experiencing such a behaviour in you office, maybe your company implemented such a tool in the internet access. If you find it at home, maybe your isp implement it as a "Safe surf" policy.
Pick up the phone in order to find out who is using it.
There is nothing you can do in order to keep surfing the way it was.

The easyest will be to give your Home Internet provider a call to check if they installed Surfcontrol on their servers and how to get rid of it.
There is nothing you can do on your PC.
