How Do I change settings?

Whenever I click on my Yahoo Mail link in my task bar I get IE instead of Firefox. How do I get this to change? I've set Firefox as my default browser, but I still can't get it to load when I click on links in the task bar & sometimes elsewhere. Thanks.

Right click on the link go to properties click on the general tab you will see a option called Opens With, click the button that says change then click firefox. This should fix it.

Might want to make firefox your default browser as well, so the does not happen again.

Firefox is my default browser already. I tried clicking on the notification icon in the task bar, but nothing happened. So I still don't know how to get Firefox to open instead of IE.

Try this if you haven't already,
Click the start bubble, click default programs, click set program access and computer defaults, select custom, and then click the drop down menu and see if firefox is listed, if not, open firefox, check use my current web browser, and check enable access to this program, and see what happens.
good luck,
jd

Okay, I tried that, but IE still comes up when I click on the "new mail" icon or link.

Ie opens when you click on the new mail icon?
Do you have thunderbird installed, or are you using windows mail?

You would have to make the same settings for your mail client to get it to open as default also. Not really sure why Ie is linked to "new mail", but try the same procedure to set your default mail client.

This link is for my browser mail, not my POP mail. I use Incredimail and Windows Mail, but that's not the link I'm speaking of. This is the notification that Yahoo messenger sends when there's new mail on the server. On my desktop when I click on it Firefox opens, but I can't get it to open on my laptop.
