Hey thanks. I see the Local Settings now. I still wonder why there are Windows temp files in 2 places. You can see some if you go into the Windows folder and most of them in the Local Settings. I assume it's ok to delete all of them after they've been in there for more than a week? Should I just use the Run box w/the %temp% command?

Best ( and least risky way ) is to use the Disc Cleanup in Accessories . . System Tools.

You need to go into folder options and enable "show hidden files and folders."

Thanks for your reply. I use the Disk Cleanup, but it doesn't seem to find the Windows Temp Files. I had Windows ME on my old computer & I was able to easily find & delete the Windows temp files. Need advise about how to do this w/XP.

You can d/l batch cleanup #1 from Fred Langa's site:

Read the warnings and select what you want deleted. There are also more aggressive batch cleanup files there as well (#2, #3, etc.)
