How make Internet Explorer text smaller?

On my old Dell laptop.. with Win98, when I adjusted the display properties/settings tab to the most resolution, everything on my desktop was small... including the internet explorer.

But on my new Dell Inspiron with WinXP, when I set the highest resolution, it works for everything EXCEPT internet explorer.  The explorer is so big, I have to scroll a lot when on it.   I've set the i.e. view/text size  to smallest, to no avail.

Any ideas?  Thanks!!!

Try this, go to control panel/internet options/accessibility.  Under Formatting click the last two boxes.  It may help.  If not change it back.  Kip

Errrr............, you have tried the View / Text Size setting in Internet Explorer itself, I take it?

Thanks gudgeon, but I did try that, 2 or 3 times... it changed the text only slightly each setting.  I did download the windows updates yesterday, to be sure explorer and XP are as up-to-date as possible...still the same.

Guess I'll have to do what D Denham suggested, and re-install explorer.

Thanks again to all.
