How to access recovery partition after installing grub

Hi,

I recently installed Ubuntu 11.04 on my Precision M6600.

For some reasons I'd like to recover entirely my system.

How can I boot to my recovery partition to restore back to the original setting?

Thanks.

xjingyu,

There are no recovery partitons on this system. You will need to manually reinstall.

I don't think so. Partitions on my M6600 are as in the following screen capture. So, what's the RECOVERY NTFS 12.5 GB stuff?  And the small one, 39.19 MB FAT16? What do they contain and how to make use of their content?

The FAT16 is the Dell Diagnostics.

It does look like you do have a Recovery Partition.

Read up on how to remove Grub2.
