The optical drive is likely not supported with UEFI or SecureBoot.
Moreover strangely Windows Defender Offline isn't supported with SecureBoot.
To use it, format a 4-8 GB USB flash drive to FAT32 and then use Windows Defender Offline to create a bootable USB flash drive. Disable SecureBoot.
After the scan, re-enable SecureBoot.
