how to install suse linux 9.0 ?

hello,

i want to install suse linux 9.0 on my dimension 8300. the installation stops while probing "hdf". no error message or any other message.

my system: Pentium 4 2,8 GHz HyperThreading+800 MHz FSB Intel Canterwood i875P Chipsatz, 1024 MB Dual Channel DDR400 Ram, SAMSUNG DVD-ROM SD-616T, Aopen CRW 5224, NEC DVD+RW ND-1100A am 2. IDE Kanal, 120 GB Seagate-Barracuda mit 8 MB Data Burst Cache SATA100, Samsung SP0802N 80 GB am 1. IDE Kanal, 128 DDR-Ram  ATI Radeon 9800, Sound Blaster Audigy2, Logitech Cordless Desktop MX700, WindowsXP Home SP1a.
