How to Reinstall User and System Guide?

Hello there,

After reinstalling Windows XP, I cannot read User and System Guides in "Help and Support Center" which were preinstalled when I got my Dimension 8200.

Although I can access online documentation in Resource CD, I prefer reading it from Help and Support Center. So, could you please tell me how to reinstall these user guides in Windows XP Help?

Thank you for your attention.

Nytun,

Thank you for using the DellTalk forum.
The system guide can also be seen from the Dell Dimension Resource CD.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
You can view the system documentation, from the (Dell Resource CD.)
Here is how to do so.

1.Insert the Dell Dimension Resource CD.
2.Click (next) when the Resource CD page come up.
3.Under the (Search Criteria) choose the following.

--System Model: Your system.
--Operating System: Your Operating System.
--Device Type: All
--Topic: User's Guides

4.All the User's Guides for your system should be displayed.
5.Under the (System Section) click on (Dell System Help.)
6.The system User's Guide will open.

the reply does not answer the question or provide a solution.. This is the same type of inadequate help I have received from telephone tech support. The question was "how to reinstall the user and device guides so that you dont have to use the cd.

It is possible, because I've done it. It involves a little searching on the Dell resource CD, and using a download from Baywolf's Site:

Look for "Dell PC Health Program"

P.S., before you attempt this, make sure "Dell Help and Support Customizations" is installed. (From the CD, or downloaded form Dell's site)
