How to use Data drive

Hard drive C has little free space. Data drive has 1.8 TB. How do I get more space on drive C?

What model computer and operating system? How many separate hard drives show up in Disk Management? Usually, the data drive is just a partition on the single hard drive while the C drive is a small partition. You should be able to delete the D data drive partition (and lose everything on it so it must be copied to ext media) and extend the C partition to include part or all of the data partition. Disk Management can do this as long as the c partition is on the left and the d partition is adjacent to it and on the right. The partitions must be right next to each other and the C drive must be first.

Research using Disk Management before doing anything since there is a chance of losing data and windows. Partitioning can be a risky maneuver. Open Disk Management to see a visual of your disk partitioning.

Disk Management shows that Data (D) is "Healthy (Primary Partition), yet it is 100% free. Is this normal to have the "primary partition" free?

I have the Dell XPS desktop with Windows 8.1, and 64-bit Operating System.
Two separate hard drives show up in Disk Management: Data (D), with 100% free, and OS (C), with 6% free.
