george_c 40,

Drag your cursor over the paragraph to highlight it (or click to set your cursor at the start of the paragraph then move to the end of the paragraph and Shift+click to select it all). When it is highlighted copy it pressing Ctrl-C. Open Notepad, click within the text area then press Ctrl-V to paste the contents of the Clipboard into Notepad.

Not quite sure what you mean, '[nothing happens['. When you click copy, the text is transferred to your clipboard, there is no visible sign that this happens. You would not see anything until you click paste in some text app, such as Notepad.

george_c 40,

Place your cursor in the file in Notepad where you wish to insert the copied text, then press Ctrl-V and it will appear at that location in your document.
