Just boot to the XP CD (actually the one you preffer, not us. You may need to pay for a Home, Pro, and prices are different, the best one, will be XP Pro, but may be more expensive.
agreed, Windows XP pro is made more for networking, domain terminals, and can more easily run things like the program you specify, but this is up to your prefrence. I would suggest pro for its flexibility.
