Hyperterminal connection

I need to make a phone connection using hyperterminal (under Windows XP accessories/communications) that requires a pause in the dialing sequence.  How do I enter a pause or pauses when entering the phone number?  To access the long distance line I need to enter a sequence of *13(pause for dialtone) 4 number security code (5-6 second pause for dialtone) and then the long distance number can be dialed.
