I cannot play DVD on my laptop
I had to reformat my Inspiron 6000.
With help of Dell Forum members, I downloaded drivers and it's working fine except playing DVD.
When I check the 'Device Manager', 'video controller' still has a question mark.
I installed 'power dvd' that came with the laptop, also downloaded several drivers from Dell's website so I'm not sure what else to install.
Can you help me identify the correct driver to download so I could play DVD on my laptop?
Thanks.

Yes, after I have reformatted I got the following advise
'Start with the chipset drivers, first. Followed by the Notebook system software then, the network drivers for the particular adapters that are installed in your I6000'
and I followed it religiously.
I checked the link but couldn't locate 'Intel Integrated Video driver'. Under what heading would I find this? I thought I saw this somewhere but I cannot remember.
Thanks much for your help.

Did you try playing it in power DVD?? (instead of Windows Media Player)??
Dumb question, but just making sure.

It's now working. I didn't install anything but it started to working once i was able to get online. I cannot explain what happened but it's working now. I was using Media Center.
Thanks again for your help. Have a nice day.
