I don't see anything in the Control Panel that would hide that icon, to hide any of the icons actually.  Any other suggestions?

Have you tried dragging it to the Recycle Bin? You may have to reboot in Safe Mode to drag it into the Bin.

It doesn't want to leave the desktop even when I drag it to the Recycle Bin.  If I do that with any other icon it goes in and disappears from the desktop but not that icon, it stays.  I am not familiar with starting my computer in safe mode at all.

"I am not familiar with starting my computer in safe mode at all"

From Windows help:

"if your computer has a single operating system installed, press and hold the F8 key as your computer restarts. You need to press F8 before the Windows logo appears. If the Windows logo appears, you will need to try again by waiting until the Windows logon prompt appears, and then shutting down and restarting your computer."

I found the folder for that Bluetooth and was able to get rid of it, it's gone now.  Thanks.
