Icon problem after Repair Reinstall
I did a repair reinstall of XP Pro and have been downloading all the updates--now when I click on my "Dell Image Expert 2000 Premium" icon on the desktop it asks for the CD, for of all things, the "Easy CD Creator"! Not even the Image Expert. How weird is that?? If I do it from the Start menu it works, but not the desktop icon. Since I got my Premium edition of Image Expert from Dell's website I don't have the CD for it.
What to do?

You said it asked for "Easy CD Creator" CD who said it was going to Install "Image Expert" anyway. ?
I assume it was going to check for "Easy CD Creator" CD. which is what ROXIO upgrade doesn't if you know have ROXIO Basic installed already.
Not Important.

JRosenfeld: I tried copying the icon from the Start menu and the same thing happens. When I click on the icon a Windows Installer window appears saying preparing to install. Which should not be necessary since it is installed. Then it immediately adds a window entitled "Easy CD & DVD Creator 6" which says: "The feature you are trying to use is on a CD-ROM or other removable disk that is not available." Then says: "Insert 'Easy CD DVD Creator 6 disk & click O.K. Use feature from....................... and Browse."
If I ignore these install windows (since I'm not needing to install) and just click "Cancel" on all of them, they keep coming back until I've cancelled several times. Then the Dell Image Expert program just starts like it should in the first place!
My point is....The Easy CD program has nothing to do with the Image Expert program. Dell Image Expert is a Jasc product and Easy CD Creator is Roxio. Something that happened in my XP Repair Reinstallation did this. It looks like I'll have to remove Image Expert and reinstall it. I do have the disk, I didn't think I did.
