IE 9 Incompatability With Websites
I just recently purchased a new Dell XPS 8300. It was delivered with IE 9 pre-installed. I have found that many of the websites I use on a daily basis do not work with IE 9. I have tried compatability mode and they do not work there as well. They will work on a Dell laptop I have that uses IE 8. Is there a way I can downgrade IE 9 to IE 8? Also, is there a 32 bit IE 9 version installed on the computer? I thought I might try that as well.

I think Firefox is a poor workaround (sorry ieee). You can uninstall IE9 by going to Control Panel, click on View installed updates, go to Windows Internet Explorer 9 and Uninstall.
Before you do though ...
IE9 is the most standards-compliant version of IE available. What sites are they? How are they displaying improperly - do you have a screenshot? If you have more than one or two sites that do not display properly, then I'd say you may have a different problem. I have not seen more than a couple of sites not work properly in IE9 of the hundreds I've visited. If you are using "internal" sites or an "intranet" or "extranet", there is a good chance the developers were not necessarily making any efforts to make it compliant at all. If they are public sites (again, if I can check them, maybe I can tell you if it is the site or your PC), then there is no excuse for them not working properly in IE9.

I am trying to access Chase Bank N/A among others. I cannot log into their website when using IE 9 while I can using IE 8 and IE 7. Chase told me their website is not yet compatible with IE 9. There are several others that I see issues with but this is the main one I am having a problem with.

Shame on Chase. IE9 has been available for 10 months. I however have used IE9 on Chase.com without issue:
Does yours display differently? What is the problem you're having with it?
