IE error help

If more than one user is logged on to XP at the same time, IE crashes when the second user tries to open it. I get the following message (I have abbreviated a little):
Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime Library
Runtime Error!
Program:
This app has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unsual way.
Please contact the application's support team for more info.

Is there any way to fix this so that one user doesn't have to log out of XP before the other uses IE (we like to just "Switch User" because it's faster than logging in and out all the time).

Thanks in advance for any help!

Just to be safe do any of the users have toolbars in Internet Explorer ? Such as Google, MSN, AOL, Ebay. If so try to uninstall them first and test it out. I noticed alot of runtime errors in IE are caused by toolbars that become corrupt over time.

Also make sure Script Debugging is disabled. In your IE window, go to "Tools/internet options/advanced tab/DISABLE SCRIPT DEBUGGING".

You might have to re-register some components below:
Go to "Start Menu", choose "Run", and enter the following entries:

regsvr32 msscript.ocx   [enter] (click "Okay" on confirmation dialog box)
regsvr32 dispex.dll   [enter] (click "Okay" on confirmation dialog box)
regsvr32 vbscript.dll   [enter] (click "Okay" on confirmation dialog box)
Hope this helps.

Thanks for your replies.
Turns out the problem is much larger than I thought- my brother tried to log in yesterday using "switch users", (rather than logging me off first) and he got that same error message any time he tried to open anything- eg IE, my documents, start menu. I have had a lot of trouble with my brand new Inspiron (2 weeks old) becoming unresponsive etc all the time, but this error message is a new thing since I enabled fast user switching- looks like I will have to disable this option and go back to logging in and out properly.
