IE7 and URL opening window size

I am running Windows XP-SP2, IE7 with tabbed browsing on.  All software is fully updated.  Yesterday I installed a new Dell 2407 WFPD monitor on my system.  I have the screen resolution set to 1920 by 1200 with an ATI 9800 Pro graphics card.

I use the quick launch bar extensively instead of having shortcuts all over the desktop.  I have several URL shortcuts from my IE7 Favorites in the quick launch bar...example, a shortcut to this forum resides in my quick launch.

IE7 opens maximized to the home page okay.  However, if I do not open IE7 but directly click on a URL shortcut in the quick launch bar, the window opens minimized every time.

I have tried to:
-  resize the window by dragging the right lower corner and then closing via X.  The size is not remembered.
-  resize the window by dragging the right lower corner, holding down the shift key and exiting through the file menu and also via X.  The size is not remembered.
-  resize the window by dragging the right lower corner, holding down the ctrl and shift key and exiting the file menu and also via X.  The size is not remembered.

With my old monitor, I was able to get it resize and remember the size for these quick launch URL shortcuts.  The problem is that I don't remember what trick I used to make it do this. :smileysad:

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.  If there is a trick that will make these open maximized, that would be perfect too.  Registry modifications are no problem.  I can handle that.

I apologize for posting a question that has probably been asked many times in the past.

Have you tried right clicking the ie icon on the quick launch and selecting properties then where it says run then select maximized in the drop down box.

I tried that as well.  The properties window for these URL shortcuts does not have a selection box for the window size to open with...on any of the tabs.

Nope, that does not work either.  Hmmm, thanks anyhow. :smileyhappy:

Just in case someone else is having this same window size issue with IE, I resolved it on my system by installing freebie program AutoSizer.  It works for other program GUIs as well.
