iedll.exe error

Everytime i boot up my computer i get a message "c:\windows\iedll.exe has caused an error.  iedll.exe will now close, if you continue to have problems reboot your computer."  Now when i check the ok box, nothing seems to be wrong and i can use my sytems, but the message box appears everytime i startup my sytem.  I ran norton antivirus and no viruses were found and i am in the process of updating my windows ME.  any suggestions would be appreciated.
