Inconsistent picture loading in Internet Explorer
For a few days now, Internet Explorer on my Dell Inspiron 600m has been loading pictures inconsistently. It isn't a problem with all websites (just some that I use a lot...credit card & bank, Hotmail, etc), and sometimes the same website will be inconsistent. For example, with Hotmail often none of the button tab pictures will load, even though the ad banner does. I hit refresh a bunch of times: maybe 1 of 5 times
some of the little icons will load (not even all of them...and this only rarely works, so it's not a solution to just hit refresh and deal with it that way). The "sign out" button rarely loads, which is a big pain...it's not just that the picture doesn't load, the link associated with the picture is absent also, which makes it impossible to sign out. The placeholder for the picture doesn't load, either, so it's not even clear (unless you're familiar with the website in question) that there
ought to be a picture in that spot. I have McAfee antivirus & firewall software, but didn't make any changes or anything (beyond the automatic update downloads) before this started happening...just seemed to appear out of the blue. No viruses detected in my system, and I looked at other forums and followed all the suggestions (adjusting the encoding, resetting Internet Options in IE, etc) but nothing worked. Any suggestions on how to fix this frustrating problem? Thanks!

Having a similar problem on our Dimension 4300. Some of the fonts on all web sites are HUGE! Running XP-home w/ IE 6. Then downloaded SP 2 thinking it would help, but nothing changed. Looks ALMOST ok with View/Text Size set to Smallest, and with Tools/Options/General/Accessibility checked in Ignore Fonts. But some of the text is still way too large, and lost some of the background colors on my Yahoo page. Makes it very difficult to do online banking!
Also quirky = Control Panel shows THREE listings for "Internet Options" Huh?
Any suggestions?

Thank you, Thank you, Thank you!!!!!
Why would have this just started in the last week or so? Did we all receive some type of update from McAfee? I'm curious if anybody knows.
Thanks,

Everyone who has this problem seems to have McAfee, but I have Norton's AntiVirus. So clicking on the red M doesn't help me. Any further suggestions to my problem below?
