INCREASE IN DISK USAGE

Question

I have a Dimension 3000. XP Home SP 2 and all updates My disk usage changed from 11% to 26% from one defag to 1 week defrag I have 40G disk   My system restore was wiped out, I check and there is no check mark in the turn off system restore I can manually system restore, no automatic system restore check points   One thing I have noticed when i use automatic updates and it works good my computer works good, as soon as the automatic up dates start having problems my computer has other problems as well My updates download but do not install, i can manually download ok, but some harm is done to my computer when the downloads won't install from the WINDOWS UPDATE PAGE   This is the first time my disk usage has increased from 11% to 26%   Does any one have any idea what the 15% increase usage of my disk can be Does any one know how to fix the WINDOW UDATE PAGE   I have used sfc /scannow with my DISK I have cleaned my computer with,   AD AWARE, SPY BOT, ULTRA WIPE, REG REPAIR, ZONE ALARM, AVG nothing show up   I have had to completly reinstall because of this problem 2 times, because problems increase dailey after problems with WINDOW UPDATE PAGE   I wipe my disk with BOOT & NUKE  if I have to reinstall

In going through my files I found ~ERAFSWD.TMP I googled it and found it came from ERASER that i have used a long time I deleted the file and I got back my used disk   I still have my update problems, I see lots of people have that problem   thanks  BOB
