right click on the time select adjust date and time. go to the internet tab and ensure that the auto sync box is checked. also select a time server to sync with...i use time-b.nist.gov.
Also before you boot into windows boot into the bios and check your date/time there.. if that is losing time then you also have a bios issue which could be a dying batter..
I have been noticing over the past two weeks that the time is out several minutes on my Dimension 9200/XPS 410 and followed your steps to update it this morning.
I get the following message: "An error has occurred while windows was synchronizing with time-b.nist.gov. The peer is unreachable" er?
I tried to synch with the other choices presented with the same results. So just updated manually.
Might look into this Bios suggestion. BTW my computer is less than one year old.

Hi,
I did what you suggested & downloaded BIOS 13 but now I have a black screen & the message "Time-of-day clock stopped."
Any suggestions, by the way I'm new to this so answer in layman's terms please.
